Study programme Process Engineering in Raw Materials

About study programme

Process engineering in the field of raw materials is an interdisciplinary field, focused on the transformation of substances (whether natural or man-made) into other useful products, usable in other areas of human activity. As an intermediary between science and production, it is the basis for all branches of production. The basis of all process engineering in this way is mechanical processes, dealing with the transformation and movement of bulk materials (particulate matter), which are part of all industrial and agricultural processes (activities). Within the framework of the bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, the student is introduced to the basic processes of formation and transformation and characterization of bulk materials, especially of a natural nature. The study programme is composed of basic theoretical subjects, followed by professional subjects and, at the end of the study, specialisation subjects, all in close connection with the technical basis in the form of design fundamentals and the necessary knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering. From the practical information, they will learn how to work in laboratories to acquire basic knowledge in the field of mechanical and physical properties of particulate materials.
