Research and science make an important part of VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, from which benefit not only students, but the whole Moravian-Silesian Region, and the Czech Republic.
The Department of Mining Engineering and Safety cooperates with research organizations, partner universities and the industry.
Some of the research results are also presented at conferences co-organized by the department.
An indispensable part of the research is making it public and available to other researchers and wider audiences.
