Mine surveying is a traditional branch that educates specialists providing surveying work, mainly in the extractive industry, with the aim of surveying and managing map documentation. A graduate of this programme knows the basics of mining which allows the person to take over also other managerial technical positions. A graduate of the branch can find employment in the extractive industry and can provide geodetic work on the surface as can the graduates of Geodesy. A graduate in a mining organization can work not only in the sense of the Decree No. 435/1992 as the main mine surveyor, but on the basis of a sufficient mining education also in other management functions. Furthermore, in accordance with Act No. 200/1994 Coll. and decree of ČÚZK No. 31/1995 Coll., as amended, after the execution of the prescribed professional experience as an officially authorized surveying engineer.
