Our specialized classroom
Measuring training observatory

The measuring training observatory is located on the roof of the VŠB - TU Ostrava Rectorate. It includes three outdoor and three indoor observational pillars with forced centering. The observatory is used for teaching both the Mine surveying and Engineering geodesy branches to students.

Training classroom

Our specialized branch training classroom (J235) is primarily used for teaching the specialized subjects of DGMS. The classroom has a capacity of 24 students. For practical purposes, there are 7 observational pillars and several targets. In addition to a board, a lecturer can also use a multifunctional projector with a sound system.

Measuring training shaft

A measuring training shaft passes through the entire building A of the VSB-TUO Rectorate and is 34 m deep. The vertical shaft is used for a practical demonstration of connection and regulation measurements and in-depth measurements, which are performed in a similar manner in a mine pit.

Measuring training corridor

The measuring training corridor of the DGMS with its length of 55 m is unique in the Czech Republic. This corridor is used mainly for teaching the branch of Mine surveying.
