Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) for International Office Staff within the Baltic University Programme

How can sustainability become a natural part of international mobility and cooperation? Join a Blended Intensive Programme in Ostrava (5–9 October 2026) designed for university staff from member universities of the Baltic University Programme and explore practical tools for greener internationalisation together with colleagues from across the Baltic region.

Technical University of Ostrava invites staff members from universities participating in the Baltic University Programme (BUP), particularly those working in internationalisation and mobility, to join a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) focused on sustainability in international higher education practice.

The programme will take place physically in Ostrava, Czech Republic, 5–9 October 2026, preceded by two short online preparatory sessions in September.

About the programme

As higher education institutions increasingly align their strategies with the European Green Deal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), international cooperation and mobility must reflect environmental responsibility and long-term sustainability.

This BIP is designed specifically for International Office staff and aims to strengthen competencies in:

green mobility practices and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
sustainable internationalisation strategies
environmentally responsible administrative processes
Participants will engage in expert sessions, interactive workshops, institutional case studies, peer exchange and an excursion, contributing to a shared effort to make internationalisation more sustainable at both institutional and international levels.

Format

The programme includes:

  • two online sessions (September 2026, 2 × 2 hours)
  • one on-site mobility week in Ostrava (5–9 October 2026)
  • Active participation in both components is expected.

Funding

The programme is organised as an Erasmus+ (BIP):

  • travel and accommodation costs are funded through Erasmus+ mobility support at participants’ home institutions (Participants are encouraged to contact their Erasmus coordinators early to arrange funding).
  • no participation fee is required
