The Geological Park was built in front of the Geological Pavilion in 2016. This outdoor exposition added 38 large-volume rock specimens to the geological collections. The exhibits relate to the geological structure of the locality as well as represent selected rock types of the wider region. One section of the exposition shows rocks from open-cast mines falling in the Western Carpathians as for regional geology, while the second has exhibits from the nearby open-cast mines of the Bohemian Massif. There are also specimens of several geological phenomena - fold, karst, etc.

Each specimen is labelled, thus informing on the basic data of the rock type, its age, and origin. More information on the geological structure and sampling sites may be found at the information panels.
